Share is a daily part of the Responsive Classroom Morning Meeting Routine. Sometimes, especially at the beginning of the year, all students are asked to bring something in for sharing, like a baby memory, or a summer souvenier. However, as the year moves on, usually the share is voluntary.
In second grade students are asked to share something more than a favorite toy...a souvenir or picture from a family trip, a rock they found on a hike, something that connects to what we are studying, and stories about something that happened to them.
Students often share experiences which don't have an object to go with them, but here is a collection of pictures from the year so far of these shares with objects. They show the broad range of interests the students have outside of school. Click on a picture to make it full size. Thanks to everyone who shared so far!
