Students had a great time creating their own miniature gingerbread house today! How creative and different each one was!
Today we planted 2 different milkweeds to launch our "Save the Monarchs" campaign. We planted some in the raised bed outside our classroom and in the swampy wetland area to the south of the school. The seeds need a period of cold before they will germinate.
For our last couple of STEM sessions we have been building bridges with K'nex. The students could build from a plan or on their own. The challenge was to span a gap between tables of at least a foot and to hold up at least one heavy book. It is not as easy as it seems, but the student's kept modifying their bridges until they succeeded!
