Field Day has got to be one of the favorite days of the year for most students. I was so proud of the students for the spirit they showed, not really caring if they won or lost, just having fun. The water stations were the overwhelming favorites, and it was a nice hot day to get wet!
As part of our ABC Countdown, today was T for Dress like a Twin of Triplet Day.
Today was O for Owl Pellet Day as part of our ABC Countdown and as part of our studies of animals. We dissected owl pellets and attempted to rebuild the skeletons of rodents. At first some of the students were a bit squirmish, but that did not last long! We were so into it, I forgot to take pictures, but here is a couple of finished products.
This evening was the PTO Glow Run. This event raises money for teacher projects throughout the year. It was fun to see some of our families come out and all the community support for our school!
Today was H for Hat Day with our ABC Countdown. I think they tell a bit about each of the student's personality.
Looking for a new game to keep the Kidos entertained this summer? Try one of these. As part of our ABC Countdown, students were invited to bring card and board games for G: Game Day. Some of the games we brought were:
• Battleship • Apples to Apples • Dragonwood • Pictionary Junior
• Trouble • Boatload of Fun • LIFE
• Operation • Slamwich • Checkers
• Zingo • Yahtzee • Sorry
As part of our ABC Countdown, today was F Day, Favorite Book Day. Students brought in one of their favorite books to share with the class.
Today we went to Natural Bridge near Lexington, Virginia. We walked the nature trail under the natural bridge all the way to Lace Falls, toured the Monocan Village, and went to the Natural Bridge caverns. It was the best field trip yet! Thanks to Gabriele for taking most of these pictures!
