Today we had our monthly French lesson from Christophe's mom and leaned about French sports and games. After viewing several fun video clips we rotated through stations of le foot (soccer), la petanque (bocci), and les puzzles (puzzels) of French monuments. The kids had so much fun! Finally the students received another stamp for their passports and receive a French treat. Thanks, Mrs. de Wekker!
Today we went on a magnet hunt around school. Our goal was to find one thing that was magnetic and one thing that was not magnetic in each part of the building. Using these HUGE magnets added to the fun.
This week students are rotating through magnet experiment stations and creating experiments of their own with magnets. There is something magical in seeing something move without touching it!
This week students wrote new year's resolutions to start off the new year and added their writing to a "Hats off to a brand new year! " bulletin board in the hall. The kids had so much fun at the photo shoot. These pics were taken in 3 takes, but the students would of done it over and over again if I had let them! So much fun, even in the freezing cold!
