Then during math students worked in pairs to try out some of the games on graphing and data like this Bugs in the System from Cyberchase. This complimented our current Investigations unit of study, Pockets, Teeth, and Favorite Things.
Today Ms. Huneycutt greeted us NOT through a Morning Message, but with a talking avatar of a dog! Then we got to try out this Text-to-Speech tool at SitePal. It was so cool! Each student made their own avatar and wrote something about themselves. Then they selected a voice, and changed the pitch and speed of the voice. Check out our creations on our Digital Learning Day page!
Then students visited the NetSmartzKids page and in pairs played Router's Birthday Surprise, an interactive adventure that teaches students about internet and personal safety. After earning 5 badges, students earned their NetSmartz certificate.
