Today we went to visit the 4th grade presentations about the Native Americans of Virginia. We played games and saw videos and village models. It was so cool because the 4th graders were our teachers!
Today Ms. Agee's reading class came down to lead us in our 4th STEM project of the year. We split into groups and they led us in several challenges with Keva Planks.
This is one of the student' favorite activity of the year! First they must decide what they need for their house, fill out an order form, and go to the gingerbread house store to buy their supplies. The next day, its put together in the morning and decorate 2 hours later after the houses have set. What masterpieces!
Today we created sand paintings. We each got to pick out the symbol we painted. We read a story that told how the original native american sand paintings were only kept for a day, and then blown away. We are glad that we get to keep ours! Click here to go to our gallery of all our pictures.
Students did a wonderful job writing about their holiday traditions. (See HW page.) We received so many compliments on the bulletin board that displayed their stories and watercolors. Click here to go to our gallery of the individual pictures.
